     A Random Forest was recorded after moving to Santa Barbara, CA, through the pandemic, and beyond. The process involved further exploration of electronics, new ways of recording acoustic guitar, new technology, and various experiments. Several songs were based on improvisations. Several originated 25+ years earlier. A few were reworked and re-recorded. Most of them simmered for quite a while before reaching their final form. Richard Bugbee (piano, keys) added a lot to the album in the way of interesting textures and unusual approaches.
